Dear Parents/Guardians, Thank you for registering a participant in She Can Create: Green Couture Collective! We hope they are looking forward to their first week of a 7- week session starting September 17, 2026 from 5:30p.m - 7:30pm. - All materials and supplies will be provided for this program; however, as the students will be doing something different each week with a focus on upcycling clothing and textiles, students are asked to bring in one or two pieces of old clothing they wouldn't mind cutting or altering. - It's recommended to bring jeans, t-shirts, hoodies or scrap fabrics. If you don't have something to spare, we will have materials on hand. - We have sewing machines which the participants will be learning on in the coming weeks. Some students in past programs have brought in their own. This is not mandatory; it is only to help those gain familiarity and confidence with their personal machines. Please let me know if you have any questions and we look forward to creating and upcycling with your participants! Best Regards, Jess Lowe, BA, CYC Supervisor, Empowerment Programs Milton Community Resource Centre 410 Bronte Street South Milton, ON L9T 0H8 905-876-1244 ext. 154 (Voicemail Only) https://mcrc.on.ca/empowermentprograms/
